- 3
Click “Merge PDFs” and download the combined document.
How merging PDFs works
Every page of every file is copied into the new document in the order shown in the list. Text, images, fonts and page sizes stay exactly as they were, because nothing is re-rendered or re-compressed.
What a merge does not carry over are the document-wide extras of the separate files, such as bookmarks and fillable form fields. The pages themselves are unchanged.
Private by design
- Processed on your device — files are never uploaded.
- Works offline once the page has loaded.
- No limits on file count or size beyond what your device can handle.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a limit on how many PDFs I can merge?
No fixed limit. You can add dozens of files; the only constraint is your device’s memory, since the combined document is built in your browser.
Does merging lower the quality of my PDFs?
No. Pages are copied as they are, without re-rendering or re-compressing images, so text stays sharp and searchable.
Can I merge password-protected PDFs?
Encrypted files cannot be merged. Open them in your PDF reader, save an unlocked copy, and add that copy instead.
Are bookmarks and form fields kept?
The pages are kept exactly, but bookmarks, fillable form fields and other document-wide features of the separate files are not carried into the merged PDF.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. The PDFs are read and combined by your browser in a background worker. Nothing is sent to a server, so confidential documents stay on your device.
