About SVG and PNG
SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) describes images as shapes and paths, so it stays sharp at any size. It is ideal for logos and icons on the web, but many apps, social networks, and document editors do not accept SVG files.
PNG is a raster (pixel) format with lossless compression and full transparency. Converting an SVG to PNG at the right resolution gives you an image that works everywhere.

Frequently asked questions
What width should I choose for the PNG?
Pick the largest size the image will be displayed at. For high-density (Retina) screens, use twice the display size — for example 512 px for an icon shown at 256 px.
Is the transparent background kept?
Yes. Areas without fill in the SVG stay transparent in the PNG.
Why do some fonts or images look different in the PNG?
For security, browsers render SVG files in isolation: external fonts, linked images, and scripts are not loaded. Convert text to outlines and embed images in the SVG for an exact result.
Is my SVG uploaded to a server?
No. Your browser renders the SVG and creates the PNG locally. The file never leaves your device.
My SVG has no width or height. Will it still work?
Yes, as long as it has a viewBox. The converter uses the viewBox proportions to calculate the height for the width you choose.
