Converting a whole photo library

Online converters usually cap free batches at a handful of files because every photo has to travel to their servers. Here the conversion runs in your browser, so the only limit is your device. On computers several photos are converted in parallel; on phones they are processed one by one to stay within memory.

Finished photos are stored in your browser’s private storage as they complete, and the ZIP is written straight to disk where the browser supports it — so even very large batches do not pile up in memory.

Private by design

  • Processed on your device — files are never uploaded.
  • Works offline once the page has loaded.
  • No limits on file count or size beyond what your device can handle.

Frequently asked questions

How many photos can I convert at once?

There is no fixed limit. Batches of several hundred photos work on a normal computer; on phones it simply takes longer.

How long does it take?

Typically a fraction of a second to a couple of seconds per photo, depending on your device. There is no upload or download wait.

Are file names kept?

Yes. IMG_1234.HEIC becomes IMG_1234.jpg. Duplicate names inside the ZIP get a number added.

What happens to other files in the folder?

Videos and other unsupported files are skipped, and the tool tells you how many were skipped. Other image formats in the folder are converted too.

Do my photos leave my computer?

No. Decoding and converting happen locally in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
